Don’t visit the USA, unless you’re a vegetarian!

This article reports that the US Food and Drug Association has now officially declared cloned meat and milk as safe for human consumption. Again the greed of the big business wins over common sense. Even better, the consumers are not given a fair choice really, since the FDA has also ruled that products made from cloned animals do not have to be declared as such! So much for fair and equal markets in the USA.

Maybe it is time to become a vegetarian!

A green hope for the drought

My good friend Martini has sent me a link to this story on the “Australian Story” about Peter Andrews who went against ‘common sense’ and against all rules and regulations to create a green oasis in an otherwise dry and salt ravaged land. He lost his horse farm, his family broke apart over it, but he knew that he was doing the right thing (and everyone else wasn’t!) and went ahead his own way to great success.

What a great story, and also a story of hope for Australia which is suffering from the worst droughts in the recent years, and which the government has done nothing about.
