not all diamonds are ‘blood diamonds.’ This is used just to scare people into not buying diamonds. If you go to a trusted diamond/jewelry store the diamonds are most likely not blood diamonds. And plus maybe some people just really like diamonds. You can’t just label them as a product of slave labor and the face of the superficial. Some people enjoy beauty, you don’t have to have a hissy fit trying to ‘enlighten’ the world about something that everyone already knows. The only thing you have to do in order to make sure you don’t buy a blood diamond is to do your research and get your facts straight. Not everything in the world has to be engulfed by drama ya know.

Why would a consumer want to take that chance though?! Yes, not all diamonds are blood diamonds but as a consumer, it isn’t possible to track down the life and journey of a diamond seeing how they’re mined and sold throughout MANY countries. How one can purchase an item and live through life with the mentality of “…most likely not blood diamonds”? There are many alternate rocks that are 100% clear of being involved with blood diamonds. The only difference is other rocks aren’t used a marketing technique.
